HYDERABAD: Notwithstanding the hectic political developments in Delhi on T, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has decided to intensify the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme. The TJAC will organise Chalo Hyderabad programme in the third week of October demanding creation of a separate Telangana state.A decision to this effect was taken at the TJAC extended steering committee meeting held here on Saturday. It was attended by TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, leaders of BJP and CPI-ML (New Democracy) and representatives of the all TJAC constituents.The TJAC urged all the private managements to close their educational institutions till October 15.TJAC teams will undertake Singareni Yatra on Sunday to further intensify the ongoing strike. It will organise protests in the state capital on October 10 in support of APSRTC employees who have been on an indefinite strike. Employees will also stage a dharna at Indira Park on October 11. There is no change in the Rail Roko programme announced by the TJAC from October 12 to 14. It demanded that the state government postpone the Group-II examinations scheduled to be held on October 15 and 16 in view of the general strike. Later, talking to newsmen, TJAC chairman M Kodandaram urged President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to resolve the T issue at the earliest. Addressing the TJAC meeting, the TRS chief reportedly warned that the Centre and state government would have to face erious consequences if they tried to suppress the T movement. Sakala Janula Samme would continue till an announcement by the Centre on formation of separate Telangana state. “We will not call off Sakala Janula Samme even if the situation in Telangana turns worse. If necessary, I am ready to go on fast-unto- death for the T cause,” Rao said.
