KOCHI: The city traffic police will regulate traffic in the city, as Vice-President M Hamid Ansari arrives here on Thursday. The traffic regulations will be effective from 5:30 pm to 6.45 pm.On Friday, traffic regulations will be from 8:00 am to 9:15 am, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, from Kochi Naval Base to Ernakulam Guest House. Apart from this, there will be traffic regulation at MG Road, Durbar Hall Road, Park Avenue Road, Hospital Road and Shanmugham Road. Parking will not be allowed on these roads from 3:00 pm on Thursday, and from 12:00 pm on Friday.On Saturday, the traffic will be regulated from the guest house to the High Court from 9:30 am to 10:45 am ,and from the High Court to the Naval Base from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Vehicles coming from West Kochi should pass through BOT Bridge and take a right turn to reach Thevara Ferry Junction, and should reach NH 47 via Kundannoor.The vehicles coming from MG Road should take a left turn from Kacherippady Junction, towards Chittoor Road, or should take a left turn from Pharmacy Junction and should take an east-diversion from the DCC Junction to reach Chittoor Junction. Light Motor Vehicles which have to go to Marine Drive from the northern side should go via Chittoor Road, and can reach MG road via DCC Road or Rajaji Junction Road.The vehicles that have to go along the western side of MG Road and eastern side of Shanmugham Road should go to North by TD Road and should go to South by Market Road. Light Motor Vehicles coming from Vyttila towards Pallimukku should take a right turn from Kadavanthara to reach Kaloor-Kathrikadavu Road, and should take a left turn to reach Pullepady Rail Over Bridge. Heavy vehicles going towards Kaloor from Kadavanthra Junction should go via KK Road.
