Two abandoned fishing boats with fake registration IDs found at Daman coast

Daman: On the sixth anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Daman Marine Police recovered two abandoned fishing boats on the Daman coast on Wednesday.

The boats were found near Kadhaiya at the Daman coast. The two fishing boats were unmanned and empty.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the registration number of the boats was fake. However, authorities also said that prima facie it looked like an instance where the fisherman faked the registration number to escape the charges.

Investigation into the case is currently underway.
