Two armymen killed in J&K

Srinagar: Two Army personnel were killed in an ambush by terrorists in Anantnag district of J&K.

Rifleman Sulaiman and Hawaldar Charan Singh were killed when heavily-armed terrorists opened fire on a patrol party of Rashtriya Rifles at village Pooniwah in Kulgam area of south Kashmir's Anantnag on Tuesday night.

The army personnel fired back but the terrorists managed to escape after the gunbattle, taking advantage of darkness.

No terrorist outfit has claimed responsibility for the ambush and a massive hunt has been launched by security forces to nab the terrorists.
