Lucknow: A 10-year-old 'whizkid' has been given permission to pursue an under-graduate course in Science from the Lucknow University, an official said.
The admission committee of the varsity has given its consent for Sushma Varma to pursue B.Sc course from CMS Degree College, where she was given admission provisionally, the University official said.
Sushma, who could not clear her class 12th board examination this year, passed it in compartment examination.
Her brother Shailendra created a record in 2007 when he completed his graduation in computer science at the age of 14 years.
Sushma, whose father Tej Bahadur is a daily wage worker and mother Chayya Devi an illiterate, too hold the record of clearing high school examination at the age of seven.
