Police registered a case against the father and arrested him after the daughter accused him of assaulting her and attempted to rape her.
Muzaffarnagar: A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his minor daughter with the intent to outrage her modesty in Muzaffarnagar district, police said on Saturday.
Suresh Kumar allegedly assaulted his 17-year-old daughter in the absence of other family members at Alempur Village on Friday evening, they said.
Police registered a case against the father and arrested him after the daughter accused him of assaulting her and attempted to rape her.
The accused was on Friday produced before a local court which remanded him to judicial custody.
