Ask Dr K Kasturirangan about India's first lunar mission, Chandrayaan-1.

Indian stands on the verge of giant scientific leap as the country's first lunar mission readies for the final countdown. Chandrayaan-1, India's first lunar mission, is all set for an October 22 launch. It will bolster international space cooperation by carrying 11 scientific devices - six of them from European and American organisations, while it orbits 100 km above the moon.
