The music release of Vikram starrer 'Thaandavam', the 25th venture of G V Prakash Kumar, was a grand affair in Chennai on 15th August evening.
Since it was Independence Day, the event started with AR Rahman's Vandemataram. The audio was released by filmmakers Bala and Lingusamy amid huge applause from the audience. Director Priyadarshan was also present at the event to greet his student A L Vijay. In his address, Bala said Vikram was a great actor and he can do any role with ease.
An AV was staged on screen on G V Prakash Kumar and his journey from 'Veyyil' to 'Thaandavam' was tracked. Songs from 'Thaandavam' were performed and screened at the event.
Vikram said it was a wonderful experience working with Vijay for the film. R Parthiban, Jagapathy Babu, Amy Jackson, Lakshmi Rai and G Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures were present among several others.
