Raiganj (West Bengal): Two block level leaders of Trinamool Congress were gunned down at a public place on Friday morning in West Bengal's North Dinajpur district. Police said the two - Mukunda Das and Khirod Das - were gunned down on the main road of Padmapukur village.
Mukunda Das (35) was president of Raiganj block TMC Kisan Congress and Khirod Das (55) was block vice-president of the party. Both bodies bore bullet injuries and a 9 mm pistol was recovered from the spot, the police said. Investigations into the incident are on, the police added.
