BANGALORE: A techie’s wife, who was suffering from schizophrenia, ended her life by hanging herself at her residence at Annaiah Reddy Layout at J P Nagar Sixth phase on Thursday evening.The deceased Rajani Paranjathe (38) was married to one, Madhusudhan, a software engineer.The couple had moved from Kundapur to the city a few years back.They were married for 14 years and have a 10-year-old son, Pranav.According to the police, Rajani was suffering from schizophrenia since many years.She was reportedly depressed and this might have had led to the suicide.On Thursday morning after her husband left for work, she hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her room.The incident came to light only when her husband returned home in the evening.When she did not open the door after he repeatedly rang the bell, he peeped through the window of the room to see her hanging.The couple had admitted their son Pranav to a boarding school in the city, the police said.
