New Delhi: The much-awaited power banks from Xiaomi are now listed on e-commerce site Flipkart in India. The 10400mAh power bank is listed for Rs 999, while the 5200mAh power bank carries a price tag of Rs 799. The power banks, however, are currently (at the time of writing this story) "out of stock" on the website.
The Mi power banks have a textured anodized aluminum casing that covers the entire battery from end-to-end. It has a metallic finish, and is also water- and corrosion-resistant. According to Xiaomi, its Mi poer banks can recharge "the Mi 3 for 2.5 full charges, the iPhone 5S for 4.5 full charges, and the iPad Mini for 1.5 charges."
Known as the 'Apple' of China, Xiaomi entered the Indian market with its three new smartphones in an exclusive sales tie-up with Flipkart.
Xiaomi plans to bring in more devices like Redmi 1S and Redmi Note, priced at Rs Rs 6,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively, in the coming days.
The Indian smartphone market is witnessing strong competition between local and international players, all vying to grab a share of the multi-billion dollar market.
