For Pakistan, it was an all-round performance with the ball and bat which gave them a massive victory over Bangladesh in Kolkata.

With the ball, it was the pair of Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr who finished with three wickets each to help restrict Bangladesh to 204 runs.

But with the bat, the opening pair of Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman managed to give the much-needed foundation to seal the win for Pakistan. Both batters managed to cross their half-centuries taking the game away from Bangladesh.

After their win, Pakistan overtook Afghanistan being on the same points but the former has an NRR of -0.24 while the latter has -0.718.

Both sides have a chance in qualifying for the semis provided they win all their games and other games go in their favour. The side will remain focused on getting all the wins from hereon and leave the rest to fate.

India remains at the top being the only side that is unbeaten in the tournament. They will go up against Sri Lanka in their seventh game of the tournament at the Wankhede Stadium, in Mumbai.

Pakistan on the other hand have their remaining two games games against New Zealand and England which will not be an easy affair.

England on the other hand remains at the bottom of the table with the defending champions having had a disastrous campaign so far.

Bangladesh have officially been ruled out of the race to the semis after their defeat against Pakistan.

The race for the top four continues to get interesting as we are yet to see who all are going to compete for the biggest prize in Cricket.
