The ENA K-Drama Your Honor was just released a day ago. Along with the reviews and first impressions, there are reports that it has also received several complaints. These complaints were already generated before it had even started airing. The newly released drama centres around a judge (played by actor Son Hyun-joo) who covers up his son’s (Kim Do-hoon) involvement in a murder. It leads to a tense confrontation with a crime organisation boss (Kim Myung-min) who is searching for his own son’s (Heo Nam-joon) killer.
The show is an ENA original, meaning it will only be available to watch on the ENA channel and later on the Genie TV platform, reports Koreaboo.
Hours before the show’s premiere, netizens took to the Korean social media site, Weaverse, and shared their complaints regarding the limited platforms available for watching the show. Some were disappointed that such a highly anticipated series, featuring a top-tier cast, would be limited to a platform that is not as widely accessible. According to Koreaboo, one user asked, “Why aren’t they using those actors to promote on OTT platforms?" Another one said, “What on earth is going on here? Does this even count as marketing?"
“They’re trying to increase subscribers by making it an exclusive title," pointed out a Weaverse user while one comment also had a request saying, “At least make it accessible for us to watch."

The series which started to premiere on August 12, is a remake of the Israeli TV show Kvodo, which originally aired in 2017. In 2020, Kvodo was adapted into an American TV series called Your Honor. Now, filmmaker Pro Min-Soo is bringing the story to Korean drama audiences.
Pro Min-Soo is known for his work on acclaimed projects such as Moon in the Day, The Third Charm, IRIS 2, Coffee House, Ho Goo’s Love and The Lie.
In this crime thriller, Judge Song Pan-Ho, portrayed by Son Hyun-Joo, is known for his integrity and good reputation. He has raised his son, Song Ho-Young, with the same principles.
On the other hand, crime boss Kim Kang-Heon, played by Kim Myung-min, is a cold and ruthless character. However, his son, Kim Sang-Hyuk, is the only person who can make him lose his cool, as the younger Kim shares his father’s cruel and violent nature.
Alongside the main cast, Your Honor also has Jung Ae-Yeon, Jung Eun-Chae, Yoon Chan-Young, Shin Ye-Chan, Park Se-Hyun and Park Ji-Yeon in key roles. The drama will air every Monday and Tuesday on ENA and Genie TV.
