The first month of 2024 is all set to get over, and February will start tomorrow. According to the English calendar, the second month of the year, February, is just around the corner. Even though it is the shortest month of the year, there are many major festivals during this period. One of the highlights of this month is that it has 29 days, that is 2024 is a leap year. If we follow the Hindu calendar, we have entered the eleventh month, Magh. This month is considered quite significant and auspicious for conducting various ceremonies like weddings. In an interview, Pandit Nand Kishore Mudgal – who is a famous astrologer at the Mudgal Astrology Centre located at Pagal Baba Ashram in Deoghar, Jharkhand – revealed that in the month of February, Saraswati Puja, Mauni Amavasya, Shattila Ekadashi, and the Monthly Shivaratri are also going to take place. Usually, there are two Gupt Navratri that are celebrated every year. The first Gupt Navratri of the year will also start in the month of February. Along with this, Rath Saptami, which is the festival of worship of the Sun God, will also be celebrated in the same month.
February will also witness big planets like Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Venus, and the Sun making their transits in the second zodiac sign and forming retrogrades.
