Goes without saying that someone’s fashion style depends on their taste and even the affordability of clothing. Styling it according to your liking and choices is the new norm.

The co-founder of ICH NEXT, Kanika Vohra said in an interview, “Yesteryear styles such as Aba Kurtas, cuffed Kaftans, the Jeliga, mixed-match kutch embroideries and Pakistani yokes expect a revival this season.” She added that for women these trends can be seen in Oriental florals, Persian Isfahan and Abadeh, and the adinkra patterns of Africa. The men could likely sport Oriental architecture, Tribal motifs and monumental rugs in the coming year.”

Vohra suggested some colours that could be in trend during this festive season and stated, “Saturated tones of berry and purple set against rustic colours like ginger and almond with hints of zari are going to be the vogue for the festive season.” Speaking further, she mentioned colours like raw pepper, turmeric, ragi brown, earthen silver, azurite, peach quartz and mitti red, which are likely to be the hot topic the next year.

According to the founder and designer of the label Ashima Leena, Leena Singh, the new year will be free of fashion policing. She said that people want to look different from the trendy crowd, and to achieve that they will dress up according to their style. Giving the example of a saree drape, she added that styling it in different styles is a trend in itself, that does not follow a certain draping method.
