Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has reportedly bought six flats for Rs 15.42 crore in Borivali area of Mumbai. The actor purchased the apartments in the Oberoi Sky City project by Oberoi Realty, according to a report in Money Control.com. The six apartments sprawl a total of 4,894 square feet and were sold at a rate of Rs 31,498 per square feet. The sale agreement was signed on May 5, 2024.
The six apartments are on the 57th floor of the high-rise building located along the Western Express Highway (WEH) in Borivali East, and come with 10 car parkings.
Earlier this year, Bollywood megastar and Abhishek’s father, Amitabh Bachchan, had bought land worth Rs 10 crore in Alibaug. The actor, who had reportedly invested in a parcel of land in Ayodhya earlier in January, reportedly bought a 10,000 square feet land from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). The land was allegedly bought in a project called A Alibaug.
A source told Hindustan Times that the actor registered the transaction in April. Amitabh joined the league of actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma who own properties in Alibaug.
Meanwhile, in January this year, it was reported that Amitabh purchased a parcel of land in Ayodhya for Rs 14.5 crore. A Hindustan Times report stated at the time that Big B bought land spread across 10,000 square feet and has a value of Rs 14.5 crore. The purchase took place shortly before the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
Last year, Amitabh Bachchan gifted his bungalow in suburban Juhu to his daughter Shweta Nanda. The bungalow ‘Prateeksha’ is valued at more than Rs 50.63 crore. It is said to be the megastar’s first property in the city and one among the three bungalows the Bachchan family is known to own in the locality.
