Aditya, who appeared on Kareena’s show to chat about life and work, has always been tight-lipped about his dating life, despite media buzz. He was rumoured to be dating Ananya Panday before their breakup earlier this year, keeping fans guessing.
kareena pointed out that Aditya rarely talks about his personal life. He’s always been private, but there were once rumours of him dating his Aashiqui 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor. “A lot of women want to know about your relationship status,” Kareena said. To this, Aditya asked, “Is chilling a status?” Kareena said, “You are always chilling, Adi.” Aditya added, “I’m a chiller.” When Kareena said that he’s a “chhupa rustam” when it comes to dating, the Metro In Dino actor said, “Good, let it be a mystery.”
When Kareena Kapoor asked Aditya Roy Kapur if he’s afraid of commitment, he quickly shut down the idea, saying he’s had “many relationships” over his life. He revealed that his 20s were filled with long-term relationships, some lasting up to five years, so commitment isn’t his issue. “I can’t say I am commitment phobic because I have had long relationships when I was younger, through my 20s. Relationships that would last five or three years. So no, I am not commitment phobic. But you have to be compelled to get into something with someone and feel like wanting it. You shouldn’t get into it because you don’t like being on your own. If you are feeling lonely, that’s not a reason,” he said.
Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur, after being together for around two years, parted ways a few months ago earlier this year.
