Alia Bhatt shed light on Ranbir Kapoor’s bond with their daughter Raha Kapoor. In the first season of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, Neetu Kapoor had revealed that Ranbir’s eye light up when Raha is in the room. Kapil revisited the anecdote when Alia appeared on the first episode of the second season of his show and asked her to weigh in.
The actress shared that Ranbir and Raha shared a close bond. “Ranbir and Raha’s relationship is one for the ages. There’s a friendship between them. He invents some random games with Raha. He’ll be like, ‘Do you want to go and touch the clothes in the cupboard?’ Raha will say ‘Yes’ and they go and have a sensory play with the clothes and shirts. He will tell her, ‘See, this is velvet. This is suede. This is cotton,'” she shared.
“And he will make that into a very serious thing. Though he’s very adventurous, he’s too creative. When you see them together, it’s very endearing and cute,” Alia added.
When Archana Puran Singh asked if Ranbir helps in changing nappies, Alia confirmed he does and added that he also learnt a Malayalam lullaby for her. “He does. Now, he even sings ‘Unni Vava Vo’. It is a lullaby. Our nurse has been singing it to Raha since she was an infant. It is in Malayalam. So when Raha wants to sleep, she says, ‘Mama, vavo, Papa, vavo,’ it’s her cue to go to sleep. Now, Ranbir has learnt how to sing Unni Vava Vo,” she shared.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who joined Alia in the episode for the promotions of Jigra, added that even his kids have learnt how to speak ‘fluent’ Malayalam thanks to the sisters aka nannies. Karan is the father of twins, Roohi and Yash.
Karan’s twins are seven years old whereas Raha turns two this November.
