The speculation about Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar's rumoured romance picked up in September last year when the latter posted an Instagram image of them taking a stroll through the streets of NYC hand in hand. Since then, the two have been posting pictures of them together and keeping the rumour mills busy. They made their first official public appearance together when they arrived hand in hand at Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's wedding reception. Now, the latest reports suggest that they will tie the knot soon.
And it seems, Farhan, too, hinted at the same during the trailer launch of Gully Boy which he is co-producing along with Ritesh Sidhwani. The actor-director, who celebrated his birthday with the Gully Boy team at the grand event, said that he was going to make a "special" announcement very soon.
"I have got 'The Sky is Pink' as an actor which is being directed by Shonali Bose and there is going to be very special announcement, but this is not the time and the platform to announce it," he said.
The announcement could also be related to Farhan's forthcoming project as there have been reports that Farhan will soon direct the next installment of his successful franchise 'Don' with Shah Rukh Khan.
Ranveer singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is releasing on February 14.
