Sanjay Kapoor turned 59 on October 17, and birthday wishes poured in from all around. Sanjay, brother of actor Anil Kapoor and producer Boney Kapoor, has earned fame in the film industry. Among the many well-wishers, Ananya Panday shared a heartfelt birthday message with a nostalgic picture. Ananya, who has been childhood friends with Sanjay’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor, shares a close bond with the actor as well.

Wishing him on the special occasion, Ananya Panday shared an old picture that features her and Shanaya Kapoor as children posing happily with Bhavana Pandey, Maheep Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor. Both Ananya and Shanaya’s families have been close to each other for decades.

Sanjay Kapoor debuted in Hindi cinema in 1995 with the Satish Kaushik-directorial, Prem. He was recently seen in Merry Christmas, a film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif. The actor had a cameo appearance in this film releasing in January 2024. Apart from that, he was also seen in Murder Mubarak, released on Netflix in March.

On the other hand, Ananya Panday is ruling the digital space this year. She starred in Vikramaditya Motwane’s CTRL. She stars in the film as Nella, who, following a tragic event, grants artificial intelligence control over her life. The character makes an account on the CTRL platform. It allows an AI assistant to manage her life and happiness. But life takes a turn when she confronts the consequences of her reliance on AI. The film is currently available on Netflix. Besides CTRL, Ananya Panday delighted viewers with her appearance in Amazon Prime Video’s Call Me Bae earlier this year. Last year, she also starred in the Netflix film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.

Next Up, she will star in a film with Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. According to reports, the film will be based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire. The film is based on the cover-up of a massacre that forced India’s leading barrister, C Sankaran Nair, to launch a battle against the British Empire.
