New York: 'The Captain America: Civil War' actor Anthony Mackie has been convicted of driving under influence in November 2013.
Mackie, 36, was found guilty of the violation and sentenced to complete a drunken driving program and pay fines after a bench trial in Manhattan Criminal Court, reported the New York Daily News.
He was pulled over by police in NYC for having tinted windows two years back. When authorities approached the vehicle, they reportedly saw that Mackie had bloodshot eyes. He also smelled of alcohol.
The 'Hurt Locker' star was then handcuffed after he failed several sobriety tests. His license was also suspended when he declined to take a blood-alcohol test.
"Thank you, your honour, for the opportunity. Thank you for listening to the case and coming up with a fair conclusion. I wish everyone else had done the same," Mackie said in court on Friday.
