Kichu Tellus is set for his new project. According to the latest report, Appani Sarath will be playing the lead role in the screenplay by Kichu Tellus, who earlier wrote the story of the 2021 Malayalam-language action film Ajagajantaram. Along with this new project marks the reunion of the actors after the 2017 crime film Angamaly Diaries.
Reports suggest Kichu Tellus will also be playing an important role in the film. It will be directed by Joshy John, who recently directed Kuruvipappa. Appani Sarath and Kichu Tellus also earlier acted in Joshy John’s film STD: XE 99.
The upcoming film is backed by Anhu Maria and Arun Gopinathan is under the banner of Raffaele Pictures. The film is said to be a comedy entertainer and its shooting will begin soon.
Meanwhile, Kichu Tellus will soon be seen in the musical comedy film Pattaapakal. The film was written and directed by P.S. Arjun and Saajir Sadaf, respectively. The film also stars Ashika Ashokan, Johny Antony, Vineeth Thattil David, Prasant Murali and Geethi Sangeetha in pivotal roles.
The film revolved around a string of incidents involving two friends, a minister, a gangster and four small-time criminals.
On the other hand, Appani Sarath came into the limelight after portraying the character of Appani Ravi in The Angamaly Diaries. It was directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, which gained him instant popularity. He later acted in Velipadinte Pusthakam, directed by Lal Jose, playing the role of Franklin, who appears in the famous Jimikki Kammal song. He also played pivotal roles in Pokkiri, Simon and Sachin.
Sarath has also done a few Tamil films, with a brief role in the 2018 Mani Ratnam movie; Chekka Chivantha Vaanam; and Sandakozhi 2 with Vishal, a sequel to the 2005 movie Sandakozhi.
He was last seen in the action drama film Antony. The film is directed by Joshiy and written by Rajesh Varma. The film stars Joju George in the title role, alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Nyla Usha, Asha Sharath, Appani Sarath and Vijayaraghavan.
The music was composed by Jakes Bejoy and the audio rights were acquired by Saregama.
