Arjun Rampal Recalls Suffering Slip Disc While Filming Gruelling Stunt Sequence In Crakk
During the trailer launch of Crakk, Arjun Rampal revealed that he suffered a slip disc and forced the team to postpone the shooting.

The trailer of the much anticipated film Crakk: Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa, featuring Arjun Rampal and Vidyut Jammwal, is finally here and has created a buzz online. Cinema enthusiasts are expressing their admiration for the impressive visual and action packed scenes featured in the trailer. The actors, in an attempt to deliver a spectacular experience, performed their own jaw dropping stunt sequences. However, the actors paid a physical toll to deliver this action packed performance. During the trailer launch event in Mumbai, Arjun disclosed that he was inspired by Vidyut for the intense stunts. However, this dedication came with a cost, as Arjun confessed that he suffered a slip disc during one of the challenging stunt sequences. This unexpected obstacle forced the team to postpone the shooting dates for approximately 2-3 weeks.

The Om Shanti Om star shared, “Crakk was one of the most physically challenging films. We were told that there will be a lot of action and it will be amazing. I was told that I’ll be able to do all of it. But when you hug Vidyut, you feel muscles which you didn’t even know existed in human bodies. I am quite a fit guy, so I was like ‘What kind of animal is he?’ I really had to up my game in that department. I was so inspired and in such awe in this movie, watching all these people do their thing. So I had to constantly push myself. I had to say I want to do it again. In that process, I suffered a slipped disc and was laid up in bed.”

Following his slip disc injury on the sets of Crakk: Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa, the production team showed kindness by cancelling the shoot for almost two to three weeks, allowing Arjun Rampal to recover and complete the sequence whenever he’s back. On the final day of shooting, Vidyut Jammwal continued to support Rampal, as his repaired discs were displaced once again and the Ra.One star returned to the hospital.

In a surprising turn of events, Nora Fatehi, inspired by the dedication of Arjun and Vidyut, opted to perform her own stunts without any stunt double. However, her decision came with its own set of challenges. Recounting a particular scene with Vidyut, Nora revealed the intensity of the incident, as both actors were moving at full speed, tied to a rope. Nora fell during the sequence which went unnoticed by Vidyut, leading to her being dragged in the concrete. Despite the safety precautions, the mishap left Nora in pain. She further expressed that she cried in her vanity van like a baby due to the incident.

Directed by Aditya Datt, Crakk: Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa is scheduled to release on February 23.
