It’s no secret that Bollywood stars and their families are known for investing in expensive properties in prime locations. The latest to join this elite group is Aryan Khan, the son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Reports indicate that Aryan has made a significant real estate purchase in India’s capital, Delhi, for a staggering amount.
According to The Economic Times, Aryan Khan has acquired two floors in the prestigious Panchsheel Park locality in South Delhi for Rs. 37 crores. This purchase is particularly notable because the building holds sentimental value; it’s where his mother, Gauri Khan, lived before her marriage to Shah Rukh Khan. The Khan family already owns the basement and ground floor of the building, solidifying their presence in this elite neighborhood.
The property was officially registered in May 2024, with Aryan paying Rs. 2.64 crores as stamp duty. The house has been designed by none other than Gauri Khan, adding a personal touch to this luxurious space.This acquisition is likely Aryan Khan’s first property purchase, marking his entry into the high-value real estate market.
His sister, Suhana Khan, has also made headlines with her property investments. In June 2023, she bought a 1.5-acre property with three houses in Alibaug for Rs. 12.91 crores, located next to their father Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow. Earlier this year, Suhana further expanded her holdings in Alibaug by purchasing another land parcel for over Rs. 10 crores.
While many celebrities opt for properties in locations like Alibaug and Goa, Aryan Khan’s high-value transaction in Delhi stands out. The Economic Times also notes that other Bollywood legends have been active in the Delhi real estate market. For instance, Amitabh Bachchan recently sold his Gulmohar Park property in South Delhi for around Rs. 23 crores, as highlighted by Pradeep Prajapati of the boutique real estate consultancy firm Wealthvisory Capital.
Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, is gearing up for his directorial debut with a series titled Stardom. Stardom will be a six-episode web show where each episode will witness a cameo by a Bollywood A-lister who will play themselves. It was revealed that on its first day of shoot, Shah Rukh visited the set of the show. Our source told News18 Showsha, “A major portion of Stardom was filmed in Dharma Productions which was frequented by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan during the course of the shoot.”
Recently, Aryan Khan broke his silence on making his directorial debut. In a recent interview, he was asked how different it was to be director as against being a fashion creative and entrepreneur. Speaking with GQ India, Aryan said, “They’re both creatively stimulating in different ways. As the creative director of the brand, I shoot the ads, as well as oversee the photoshoots. I’m very involved creatively, but not as much when it comes to the logistics. On the other hand, as a director I have to look into every detail, every shot and every angle.”
Meanwhile, Aryan Khan had turned director last year for an ad for his fashion brand. The ad featured Shah Rukh in the lead.
