Bigg Boss Kannada lovers Chandan Shetty Niveditha Gowda have parted ways. On Friday, the latter took to her Instagram handle to announce their divorce when she mentioned that the decision is been taken “mutually”. Niveditha shared that they still “care and respect” for each other and assured they are on “good terms”. She also urged everyone for privacy.
“This day, We, Chandan Shetty and myself have ended our marriage legally on good terms and mutual understanding. We request support from the media, our friends, and fans who stood by us at all times to respect our decision and our privacy. Even though we are going our separate ways, we still care and respect each other. Your kindness, understanding and encouragement mean a lot to both of us during this period. Thank you all,” the statement read.

Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda met inside the Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5 house and fell in love with each other. They got engaged in 2019 and tied the knot in 2020.
Chandan Shetty and Niveditha Gowda are widely loved by the audience and used of often share love-filled pictures online. Last year, the couple went to US for a vacation when they shared an adorable selfie online and wrote, “Beautiful view of Niagara Falls from USA”.
Previously, Niveditha showered love on her husband when she revealed that she takes acting tips from Chandan. “Chandan is helping me with my dialogue and intonation for the film. We often exchange ideas, as far as acting goes. He shows me his acting clips and seeks my feedback. This helps us both learn and improve,” she had said as quoted by ETimes.
While Niveditha is known for her stint in Bigg Boss Kannada 5, Chandan Shetty is a music composer, lyricist and singer. He made his mark in the industry with his debut as a composer in the 2016 film Railway Children. He will soon compose music for the upcoming movie Choo Mantar, which stars Sharan and Meghana Gaonkar in the lead.
