Deadpool And Wolverine: Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman Announce Tickets On Sale In Spoof Video
In the ticket pre-sale announcement video, Ryan Reynolds got a flashback of his on-screen fight sequence as Deadpool with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

The anticipation surrounding Shawn Levy’s Deadpool and Wolverine continues to make headlines. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the titular roles, the sequel is set to grace the silver screens on July 26. Although the action comedy is almost two months away from release, Marvel Studios has piqued the interest of movie enthusiasts with film stills, trailers and official merchandise. Now, the masses are once again gripped by frenzy after the makers announced that Deadpool and Wolverine’s tickets were on sale from May 20. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have also shared the news on their social media handles but with a twist of creative humour.

In a spoof video dropped on Instagram, Ryan Reynolds was captured eating a banana when Hugh Jackman intervened. “Hey Ryan, got you something,” said the Wolverine star as he pulled out a yellow envelope from his pocket. Once Reynolds opened the envelope he found that Jackman had bought two tickets to Deadpool and Wolverine for them to watch together. It required no rocket science to understand that their semi-formal banter was a marketing tactic, hinting that the tickets to the Shawn Levy directorial were on sale.

In a hilarious turn of events, Ryan Reynolds got a flashback of his on-screen fight sequence as Deadpool with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. The visuals were from the recently released Deadpool and Wolverine footage. It showed the two protagonists in their superhero costumes battling each other. As seen in the flashback, Deadpool attacked Wolverine first, injuring the latter. Wolverine retaliated by using his claws to hurt the red-suited comic-book character. Reynolds and Jackman exchange a cryptic look before the scene shifts to some film scenes from their upcoming Marvel.

Marvel lovers reacted to the ticket promotional video in the best way possible. “The marketing for this movie is going to be legendary,” noted one user. Another already declared Deadpool and Wolverine as the “Movie of the Decade”. “Gonna bring roses for the greatest bromance movie,” commented a third individual.

Deadpool and Wolverine received an R-rating from Disney “surprising” Ryan Reynolds. “I hope this doesn’t sound condescending, I’m really proud of them for doing this. It’s a huge step for them,” he said in an interview with Fandango. Besides the lead actors, the film also stars Morena Baccarin, Matthew Macfadyen, Emma Corrin, Karan Soni, Rob Delaney and Leslie Uggams in key roles.
