Manya had to undergo a tough audition round to secure Back Benchers film.

Director BR Rajshekarb’s film Back Benchers released today, on July 19. The film stars actors Ranna, Vijay Prasad, and debutants like Manya Gowda. Manya had an extensive association with Back Benchers, starting from her work in film, then getting involved in its marketing as well as post-production. Manya even prepared for four characters in this film before finally being shortlisted for a role named Maya. She shared some insights regarding her career in an interview with a portal. Manya said that she has secured a degree in engineering 3 years ago. The Back Benchers actress shares a profound passion for acting and dancing. Despite her abilities, Manya is not overconfident about her acting trajectory. She said that she could not be sure of regularly being offered roles in the films. “It will take some effort”, Manya said.

Manya had to undergo a tough audition round to secure her way to the Back Benchers film. She recalled auditioning for the characters along with 700 men and women. The team finally zeroed in on 30 actors in which Manya also secured a chance. Next, actor-director Suchendra Prasad started coaching the debutant regarding the nuances of her character. Prasad taught her all kinds of acting forms and also held workshops for further training of the actors. In one of those workshops, Manya rehearsed for not one, or two, but four roles.

These 4 characters are the lead roles in Back Benchers. Manya duly prepared for them and the makers finalised her for the character named Maya. Now, she has become popular with her acting prowess through this role. Manya considers herself lucky to not only be popular as an actress, but also gain immense experience in other techniques of film production. She credits BR Rajshekarb and cinematographer Manohar Joshi for teaching her a lot about filmmaking.

As of now, Manya has not announced any other projects related to the career front. She has shared a few clips of her upcoming projects on Instagram. In one of the clips, a makeup artist can be spotted smearing fake blood on her forehead.
