Did Taylor Swift Record A Breakup Song For Travis Kelce? Here's The Truth
Taylor Swift fans were taken aback by an alleged breakup song about Travis Kelce that circulated on the internet last year.

Last year, Taylor Swift’s connection with Travis Kelce garnered attention, particularly as the pop sensation attended multiple Kansas City Chiefs games. Their relationship blossomed and their intimate moments at the Eras Tour confirmed their romance. Despite appearing to be a promising couple, fans were taken aback by an alleged breakup song circulating on the internet in October 2023. The track, dedicated to Taylor’s split with Travis, surfaced in October 2023 with the title “Taylor Swift’s first single after breaking up with Travis Kelce.” However, Swifties quickly caught that the song was fake. Reports later confirmed that artificial intelligence (AI) generated the song, mimicking Taylor’s voice to create a seemingly authentic composition. While some recognized its falsity, others were misled into believing its authenticity.

Surprisingly, the origin of the fake breakup song involved two key contributors. Initially, TikTok user Will King wrote the lyrics and performed the song with his own voice and a guitar, which quickly gained traction. About three days later, another user named There I Ruined It created and uploaded an AI-generated version of the song. Reportedly, the user utilised audio editing software like Melodyne and Pro Tools to craft the content. Despite the song implying a split between Taylor and Travis, their relationship remains intact and seems to be thriving.

The lyrics are, “You stole my heart, you intercepted it. Now you’re gone, have to accept it. Did I meet your mom too soon? Or did I do what I always do? Yeah, we made it to the 50 and then you kissed me. We made it to the 40, a new love story. We made it to the 30 and you did me dirty right then. You put the end in tight end. And as I touchdown, just like you in a game. I’m in another town, and nothing feels the same. Wish I could go back when we met that day, whoa And throw a flag on the play.”

Recently, following the Super Bowl victory, celebrations extended into this week as Travis Kelce returned from Sydney and joined his Chiefs teammates at Las Vegas’ XS nightclub. The highlight of the night occurred when DJ Marshmello played Taylor Swift’s 2008 hit track Love Story, prompting Travis and teammate Patrick Mahomes to groove along. Despite the physical distance from his girlfriend, Swifties commended Travis for showcasing his affection through his dance moves.
