Kajol made a striking appearance at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Do Patti, alongside co-star and producer Kriti Sanon. Dressed in a chic red ensemble, she exuded her signature diva vibes, capturing the attention of everyone present. On October 14, Kajol took to Instagram to share a closer look at her stunning outfit from the renowned label Gauri & Nainika. She showcased a custom strapless corseted jumpsuit featuring a peplum top with a side tulle train, shoulder drapes and sleek straight pants that beautifully highlighted the dramatic design of the top. Embracing the “less is more” philosophy, Kajol chose to accessorise her look with delicate earrings.
Kajol’s post opened with a picture of her carefully assessing her look while sitting in front of a mirror. This was followed by a set of gorgeous stills of the actress from different angles and in varying poses inside her makeup room. Kajol’s fans quickly flooded the comments section with compliments, praising her radiant look. In other news, Kajol’s interaction with a journalist during the trailer launch of Do Patti has caused quite a stir. During the media interaction, a reporter questioned if she has dealt with betrayal in life owing to the film’s theme which revolves around betrayal. The 50-year-old, in her usual bold self, asked the journalist not to ask such silly questions.
“Don’t be daft. I am not going to share an anecdote. It is too personal. If it is a betrayal, it is too personal. Obviously, I will not (share the details),” said Kajol. She further asked her fellow castmates if they were comfortable revealing such details about their personal lives. They, too, refused to share. Hence, she continued, “We cannot share anecdotes on this topic. But we can tell you that betrayal is something that everyone experiences. If we’ve grown up as an adult, you feel it as a child sometimes, you feel it as a teenager, you will feel it as an adult and at some point in your life for sure. Otherwise, you haven’t lived life at all, or you’ve been under a tree somewhere. Yes, we’ve all felt betrayal and I think we’ve portrayed it nicely also in the film.”
Directed by debut filmmaker Shashanka Chaturvedi, Do Patti will be released on Netflix on October 25.
