Fahadh Faasil is back in action with the Malayalam film Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira after taking a break. Directed by Altaf Salim, the movie has already begun shooting. Produced by Aashiq Usman Productions, the film stars Fahadh Faasil alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan and Revathi Pillai in key roles.

The movie ceremony saw a traditional start with producer Aashiq Usman’s father, Usman Swatchon, heading it, while director Altaf Salim’s wife, Shruti Shikhamani, clapped to mark the beginning. Not just Fahadh Faasil, but the movie boasts an ensemble cast including Dhyan Srinivasan, Vinay Fort, Lal, Ranji Panicker, Rafi, Babu Antony and many others.

The film aims to bring something fresh to the table, with Jinto George handling the camera work, music by Justin Varghese and editing by Abhinav Sundar Naik. It’s expected to hit theatres under the banner of Central Pictures.

Fahadh Faasil recently stirred up some discussion with his recent statement about cinema. He expressed his desire for people to not discuss actors and performances at dining tables, emphasising that cinema has its limits. While some fans resonated with his viewpoint, others weren’t as impressed.

Speaking with Galatta Plus, the Aavesham actor said, “I don’t want people to talk about actors or performances on the dining table. Let them just discuss it in the theatre or maybe on the way back home the drive. Not more than that. Cinema is not beyond that. Cinema has a limit and let’s just…”

Despite the chatter, Fahadh Faasil has a packed schedule ahead. He’s set to appear in big releases like Pushpa 2: The Rule alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, as well as the Rajinikanth-starrer Vettaiyaan, directed by TJ Gnanavel.

FaFa, as he is known in the film fraternity, with his thoughts, has kept discussions about cinema within the theatre or on the way back home have sparked a conversation about the nature of film critique and appreciation. As he dives into new projects, it remains to be seen how his perspective on cinema influences his future works.
