Fans Go Wild Over Rajinikanth’s First Look As Deva In Coolie

The excitement and anticipation are high for the upcoming Rajinikanth-led Coolie. In the last few days, the makers have gradually unveiled the first-look posters for the project’s star cast. Now, their latest update is on the superstar’s look himself, which is creating a frenzy among the fans online.

According to the reports, Coolie is expected to release next year, boasting an ensemble cast of several stars from South Indian cinema. Each of the actor’s looks in the film has taken the anticipation up a notch among the fans. Superstar Rajinikanth’s look has sealed the deal for the project, as the actor looks to be brewing up another blockbuster.

Rajinikanth’s first-look poster was shared on the official X account of the film’s production Sun Pictures. The black and white image introduces him as Deva, capturing him in a menacing, rugged new look. The superstar, donning a front open shirt and a black pendant chain, is seen staring at a small golden number plate, which bears the number “1421.” The poster is shared with the tweet, “The wait is over! Introducing Superstar @rajinikanth as Deva, from the world of #Coolie.”

The film is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has co-written it with Chandhru Anbazhagan. It stars Rajnikanth in the titular role with an ensemble cast of Nagarjuna, who will be seen as the antagonist, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Upendra and Mahendran. It is being produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures while Anirudh Ravichander is doing the music. The cinematography is done by Girish Gangadharan and the editor is Philomin Raj. Soubin Shahir is set to make his Tamil film debut with the release.
