After a couple of low-ticket sale days, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter has witnessed a huge growth at the ticket window. The film, which collected Rs. 5.75 crores on Thursday, earned over Rs. 10.5 crores on its second Friday. According to a report by Sacknilk, the film’s total earnings now stand at Rs 162.75.
The portal reported that the Siddharth Anand directorial film has minted Rs. 10.5 crore nett in India across all languages. The aerial action film had an overall 24.52% Hindi occupancy on Thursday.
While the morning shows of Fighter had an occupancy of 12.47 percent, it increased to over 39.73 percent during the evening shows.
Fighter is expected to bring in more audience over the extended weekend. The film has received good reviews. News18 gave the film a 4-star rating and said, “Phenomenally entertaining and consistently engaging, Fighter, for all the derivative genre components it compiles, is an action entertainer that crackles with energy.”
“Like the quintessential entertainer, Fighter serves up a little bit of everything in its narrative—action, drama, music, romance, and even emotions. The screenplay makes room for every commercial movie element. Fighter is a perfect popcorn entertainment thriller that plays to the gallery and lives up to the hype,” the review added.
Fighter has a run time of 2 hours and 46 minutes. The Central Board of Film Certification has also granted it a U/A certification for the film. Besides Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, the film stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Talat Aziz, Pradum Shukla, and Pradum Jaykar in pivotal roles. The film marks Hrithik and Deepika’s third film with Siddharth Anand. Hrithik previously worked with the filmmaker on Bang Bang and War. Deepika had worked with him in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan.
