Hailey Bieber On Why She And Justin Revealed Pregnancy News: 'Felt Like I Was Hiding This Big Secret'

The soon-to-be mom revealed the news of her pregnancy a few months ago. In early May, Hailey and her pop star husband Justin Bieber made an exciting announcement that thrilled fans worldwide. The couple took to Instagram to share that they are expecting their first child together, accompanied by beautiful photos from a special vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii, where Hailey’s baby bump was visible for the first time.

Hailey Bieber, the founder of the skincare brand Rhode, shared more about their decision to go public with their baby news. In an interview with W magazine, set to be published in the summer issue on July 30, Hailey opened up about her feelings. She explained that hiding her pregnancy felt burdensome and that she wanted the freedom to share her happiness and enjoy her pregnancy without the constant worry of keeping it a secret.

She said, “I probably could have hidden it until the end, but I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life,” reports Billboard.

In the cover story of the magazine, Hailey also talked about the emotional journey of her pregnancy and how she’s been spending time with Justin before their baby’s arrival. “In the beginning of pregnancy, it was super emotional for me. Like, I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this? I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us,” she added.

The couple’s baby announcement in May was accompanied by a heartwarming post on Instagram. In the photos, Hailey can be seen wearing a skin-tight lace gown, gently falling on her growing baby bump, while Justin clicks pictures of her. The videos also showed the couple renewing their vows.

Justin and Hailey Bieber have been married since September 2018. They first tied the knot in New York City where they reportedly had a low-key ceremony. A year later, they celebrated their marriage with a more traditional wedding ceremony and a lavish party in South Carolina.
