After much speculation, Telugu actor Harshvardhan Rane has confirmed his relationship with Kim Sharma. The two were rumoured to be dating for months now, but none of them had addressed their relationship status until now.
Talking about the rumours surrounding his love life, Harshvardhan told Hindustan Times, "I will say I am a very open person. There’s nothing to hide, I have never been the person to hide anything. Of course I am in a relationship, but it’s a personal space. I am a private person. And as far as the other person is concerned, I have to respect them. Barring that, where I go, whether it’s the jungles and stuff, it’s out there. I ran away from my home at a young age, have worked in a cyber café and STD booth, I don’t have anything to hide.”
When asked further if that girl is Kim Sharma, he added, “There’s nothing to deny obviously, we are seen everywhere. We haven’t kept anything hidden till now. Since this is not work related, I don’t know how to talk much about it, or what to discuss.”
Before this, the two actors have never admitted being in a relationship. However, from time to time, they were spotted together over lunch and dinner dates and their constant public appearances hinted at a relationship.
In the past it was rumoured that Kim had had a troubled marriage with Kenyan hotelier Ali Punjani and post her divorce she returned to India last year. Media reports said that the actress was cheated on by her husband, post which she didn't just leave their home in Kenya behind, but her job as the CEO of Punjani's chain of hotels as well.
On the other hand, Harshvardhan was linked to television actress Gauahar Khan previously. Clarifying his relationship status with her, he had told IANS "I don't deny that fact that I like Gauahar. She is hardworking, self-made and self-respecting. Somewhere, I see my own personality traits in her. But that's about it. We are not in a relationship."
