Henry Cavill Admits Being A 'Swiftie'; Calls Taylor Swift 'Magnificent'
Henry Cavill's upcoming film, The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, releases on the same date as Taylor Swift's next album.

Over the past few months, an interesting rumour has been making rounds on the internet, suggesting that Taylor Swift is the original writer of the book that Henry Cavill’s latest film Argylle is based on. A section of fans was almost convinced that the Cruel Summer singer was Elly Conway, the mysterious writer behind the novel. Not just that, fans also believed that the novel was officially adopted into a film by director Matthew Vaughan. Later, the director himself debunked the rumours.

Following this, the Man of Steel actor’s name has once again been linked to Taylor Swift over Cavill’s upcoming film, The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare. As the movie is all set to mark the same release date as Swift’s upcoming eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, fans wonder if the actor is also a die-hard ‘Swiftie’.

Cavill, in a recent conversation with E!News, opened up on the same and admitted to being a fan of Taylor Swift.

Henry Cavill Praises Taylor Swift

As the interviewer mentioned that Henry Cavill’s upcoming film’s release date clashes with Taylor Swift’s album release date, Hero Fiennes Tiffin explained that “it was deliberate” following which others including Cavill admitted that they are all “massive swifties.”

Further, as Tiffin along with Alex Pettyfer emphasised that director Guy Ritchie is also a Taylor Swift fan, Cavill added, “Yeah, he was super excited about that date particularly. He was like ‘You know what? Let’s work together, let’s work in sync.”

Later, as the interviewer asked about Henry Cavill’s name being linked to the Love Story singer, he finally said, “That’s the second time I’ve been tied in with Taylor. Because Argylle.. everyone thought that the book was written by her, and so.. now this,” further adding, “I was never not a Swiftie. She is magnificent.”

While all the rumours began last year, Argylle director Vaughn, in an interview with Rolling Stone, said, “There is a real book … and it’s a really good book. And there is an Elly Conway who wrote the book, but it’s not Taylor Swift… I did read the conspiracies and I was like, ‘Wow, they don’t leave a stone unturned!’ But it’s not Taylor Swift. She definitely didn’t write the book.”
