Kalki 2898 AD: Amitabh Bachchan Gets Biggest Cheer From Abhishek Bachchan For Epic Ashwatthama Look

Amitabh Bachchan’s look from Kalki 2898 AD was released on Sunday and his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan was mighty impressed. Nag Ashwin revealed Big B will be playing the role of the powerful, immortal Ashwatthama in Prabhas-headlined film, Kalki 2898 AD. The filmmaker shared posters and the first glimpse of Amitabh’s role over the weekend. Following the first look release, Abhishek Bachchan took to X and shared his reaction.

The actor doubled up as his father’s biggest cheerleader. He shared the video of Amitabh’s first glimpse from the film and wrote, “THE BOSS!!!!” Fans also joined him to praise Amitabh Bachchan’s insane Ashwatthama look. “Greatest actor star ever! The boss…period,” a comment read. “Goosebumps ❤️..AB sir ki Jawani yaad aagayi bhaisaab!!!” added another.

Amitabh Bachchan shared the link of his first look from Kalki 2898 AD on X and wrote, “It’s been an experience for me like no other .. The mind to think such a product, the execution the exposure to modern technology and above all the company of colleagues with stratospheric Super star presence.”

Kalki 2989 AD stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in significant roles. At the Synapse 2024 event in Gurgaon, Nag Ashwin revealed that the film’s timeline will commence with Mahabharat. He stated, “The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian, and not make it look like Blade Runner. The film begins 6000 years behind 2898 AD is 3102 BC, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed.”

Touted as the biggest Indian film of the year, Kalki 2898 AD is a multilingual film helmed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
