Ajay Devgn has unveiled a sneak peek of ‘Maharagni – Queen of Queens,’ starring Kajol and Prabhu Deva in prominent roles. This action-packed thriller marks the long-awaited reunion of these actors after nearly three decades since their collaboration in Rajiv Menon’s ‘Minsaara Kanavu’ (1997). Steering this cinematic endeavor is director CharanTej Uppalapati.
On Tuesday, Ajay Devgn took to his Instagram handle and shared an electrifying glimpse of the same. The teaser highlights Kajol’s dynamic character engaging in intense battles, displaying remarkable skills and flair. Alongside, the film boasts a stellar lineup including Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sengupta, and Aditya Seal.

In a bid to bring their grand vision to life, the creators of this ambitious project have enlisted the acclaimed cinematographer GK Vishnu, known for his work on ‘Jawan,’ and the talented editor Navin Nooli, who also worked on ‘Pushpa 2.’ The screenplay is penned by Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana, with Saahi Suresh set to elevate the visual appeal as the production designer. The music for this film will be orchestrated by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, celebrated for his work on ‘Animal’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Details regarding the storyline remains shrouded in secrecy for now.
Kajol and Prabhudeva shared the screen in the acclaimed 1997 Tamil film “Minsara Kanavu” directed by Rajiv Menon. This cinematic gem, alongside Arvind Swamy, captivated audiences and emerged as a smashing success. Its Hindi-dubbed adaptation, “Sapnay,” introduced to the masses the beloved track “Chanda Re.”
The narrative delves into the life of Priya, a young girl studying in a convent school with dreams of embracing a life as a nun. The tale evolves as her companion from childhood, Thomas, finds himself enamored with her, endeavoring to win her heart in return.
Kajol, most recently recognized for her appearance in a segment of Lust Stories 2, has an enticing lineup of projects in store. She is poised to grace the screen in Do Patti alongside Kriti Sanon, Sarzameen with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Adding to her diverse repertoire, there’s a spine-chilling horror flick titled Maa currently in the works.
On the other hand, Prabhudeva is deeply engrossed in his directorial venture “The Greatest of All Time,” headlined by the renowned Thalapathy Vijay. The much-anticipated film is scheduled for a cinematic debut in September this year, promising to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar performances.
