Ever since Taylor Swift launched her new studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, fans largely believed that it revolved around her ex-boyfriends including Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy. Considering Taylor has been working on Tortured Poets for two full years and it was during this period that she dated Healy, it seems like the singer-songwriter has taken inspiration from her summer fling, thus adding bonus tracks to the album. This has led fans to draw parallels between their relationship and the visuals in the album.

Amid all the buzz around Taylor’s highly-awaited studio album, the 1975 singer Matty Healy has broken his silence on the same. In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Matty shared that he “hasn’t listened to that much of it.”
Matty Healy admits he hasn't listened to all of Taylor Swift's new album 'The Tortured Poets Department' but is "sure it's good." pic.twitter.com/pKNaSwaYRA— Entertainment Tonight (@etnow) April 24, 2024
The clip shows the cameraman approaching Matty, asking about his take on Swift’s new album, and asked, “How would you rate your Taylor diss track compared to the 30 others?” The musician took a brief break to process the information. “My diss track?” he asks, and once he understands what the cameraman means, Matty replies with a cryptic remark and says, “I haven’t really listened to that much of it. But I’m sure it’s good.”
While the pap question refers to the ‘diss track’, Swifties believe that there are instead romantic songs about him.
Matty Healy Was ‘Nervous’ About TTPD
As per a US Weekly report, Matty was nervous about what Taylor Swift would have said on her album. Quoting a close source, the report suggests that while Healy was very happy with how the album turned out, he was eventually “nervous” about it.
His family was also very thrilled with the way Taylor sang about him in the highly anticipated studio, explaining that they were worried that the singer was going to “rip him apart.”
Talking about their relationship, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy met for the first time in 2014 during one of his concerts. Later, they came together again for professional reasons in 2022 and reportedly started dating last year. After being together for a brief period, they parted ways due to being “incompatible with each other.”
While none of them ever confirmed their relationship, Taylor and Healy were strongly rumoured to be together for a short while, thanks to the multiple studio sightings and public hangouts.
