Jyotika revealed that she moved to Mumbai owing to her work commitments and her children’s education.

Speculations were rife lately, suggesting that actress Jyotika has relocated to Mumbai due to alleged issues with her husband, actor Suriya. She has now come out to clarify, saying that these divorce rumours are baseless. Dismissing the claims being made about her marital life, Jyotika revealed that she moved to Mumbai owing to her work commitments and her children’s education. In an interview, she said that she had temporarily halted her film career post wedding. Now, she has embarked on her second innings in the film industry. Jyotika noted that since she is receiving several offers, including two Bollywood projects, she decided to relocate to Mumbai with her children to ensure that their education does not get affected. Jyotika, in further revelation, also clarified that she plans to return to Chennai after fulfilling her work commitments.

This is not the first time that Jyotika attempted to put an end to the conjectures of her separation from Suriya. Earlier, in an interview with a media house, she emphasised that the school facilities for the children are in place, and the kids are settled in Mumbai. She also praised her husband saying, “Suriya is a very supportive husband. He wants me to be happy, and he prioritises the well-being of our kids. He is someone with big perspectives.”

It is pertinent to note that Jyotika is enjoying a successful stint in her career as she is consistently delivering noteworthy performances with films like Kaathal: The Core. The film garnered immense praise from the audience for its unique storyline. She is all set to entertain the masses with her next project titled Shaitaan. The film will boast an ensemble cast of R Madhavan, Ajay Devgn, and Jyotika. The horror thriller is set to release on March 8.

Suriya recently finished the shooting of his film Kanguva. Directed by Siva, the film is touted to be a massive period flick. He is all set to collaborate with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for a project based on the Mahabharata character Karna from Hindu mythology.
