Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are all set for their next release Mr & Mrs Mahi. The makers have been increasing the excitement level among fans by sharing new posters And now, they are all set to release the film’s trailer tomorrow. Earlier in the day, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions announced the release date with a new poster.
The poster read, “Kisi ke sapno ko udaan milti hai, aur kisi ke sapno ko ek dusre ka saath! Catch this imperfectly perfect partnership built on love and dreams – the #MrAndMrsMahi trailer hits the field TOMORROW!In cinemas on 31st May, 2024.”
The poster shows Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao wearing their cricket team and sitting close to each other. They donned their brightest smiles as they gazed at each other. The tagline on the posters said, “A Google Of A Love Story”. The trailer will be exclusively releasing on Star Sport at 2:40 pm followed by a Youtube release at 3:40 pm.
In Mr & Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar will be portraying the character of Mahendra Singh Dhoni while Janhvi would essay the role of a character called Mahima. In an interview with Mid-Day, Janhvi had earlier revealed that she underwent a gruelling six months of intensive training in order to adapt to the mannerisms of a cricketer. The actress had said, “It was an exhaustive process of six months to get into the skin of the character and sync into the role.”
Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his debut with ‘Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl (2020), Mr And Mrs Mahi will mark Janhvi Kapoor’s fourth theatrical release, following Dhadak (2018), Roohi (2021), and Mili (2022). She is set to star in two more films this year, the political thriller ‘Ulajh’ and the Pan India project ‘Devara’ alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. For Rajkummar Rao, after ‘Srikanth’ and ‘Mr And Mrs Mahi,’ his upcoming 2024 releases include ‘Stree 2′ and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.’
