Livingston is a well-known actor and screenwriter in the South film industry. As per reports, he has acted in over 150 films and has played various roles throughout his film career — from lead character, supporting role to cameos. He also shared screen space with superstars like Rajinikanth and Vijayakanth. He has been making headlines for his latest release, Lal Salaam, which is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. It was released in theatres worldwide on February 9, 2024. Recently, Livingston attended a media interaction where he shared his feelings about Rajinikanth, which are currently garnering everyone’s attention. Rajinikanth is known for his philanthropic activities, both inside and outside of the film industry. Livingston is one of those who got his help.
J Livingston said in the interview that once his wife had a sudden heart attack. He had no money with him left, after he admitted her to the hospital for treatment. At that time, he was acting in Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam. Livingston shared this incident with the assistant directors one day on the shoot. Later, Rajinikanth somehow got to know of this. As soon as Rajinikanth learned of this, he called Livingston and paid him Rs 15 lakh and instructed him to get his wife treated properly.
When Livingston hesitated to take the money, Rajinikanth said, “I am your brother, and I can buy it for you.” In the interview, Livingston said that his wife is alive today because of his help.
Livingston further said that when he went to collect money from Rajinikanth’s office, the staff there told him that he helps a lot of people.
Lal Salaam is a Tamil-language sports action drama, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions.
The film featured Rajinikanth in an extended cameo role, alongside Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth as the main protagonists, with an ensemble supporting cast including Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar and Thambi Ramaiah.
The music for the film was composed by AR Rahman, while the cinematography was handled by Vishnu Rangasamy and edited by B Pravin Baaskar.
