Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma shared cryptic posts about marriages and divorces shortly after Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic announced their separation. Taking to X, the Rangeela director deemed marriages are made in ‘hell’ while divorces are made in ‘heaven.’
“MARRIAGES are made in HELL and DIVORCES are made in HEAVEN,” he posted before adding, “I wonder if today’s MARRIAGE in reality does even last as long as the no.of days the parents perform the MARRIAGE.”
RGV then said, “A paid nurse is a far better option than to marry for being looked after in old age ..The nurse will do it as a paid job whereas a wife will make the old man feel eternally guilty.” He added, “LOVE is BLIND and MARRIAGE is an EYE OPENER.”
The director also said, “A marriage can work only if you have an extraordinary ability of falling in love again and again and again with the same person.” He concluded his series by sharing, “Considering the super high rate of divorces today , the biggest idiots are the poor parents who spend through their noses for the marriage.”

His statements came after Hardik and Natasa announced their split. The couple, who had three wedding ceremonies, took to Instagram and shared a statement about their split. “After 4 years of being together, Hardik and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe this is in the best interest for the both of us. This was a tough decision for us to make, given the joy, mutual respect and companionship we enjoyed together and as we grew a family,” the statement read. The couple shares a three-year-old son, Agastya.
