Singapore Saloon featuring RJ Balaji in the lead role was released in theatres on January 25. Directed by Gokul, the film made it to the theatres on Republic Day weekend. Declaring the film a hit, its makers hosted a grand success meet on Thursday. The film’s cast and crew including RJ Balaji, Chinni Jayanth, director Gokul, and producer Isari Ganesh marked their presence at the event to celebrate the success of the film. While speaking at the event, Chinni compared the lead actor of the film, RJ Balaji with Aamir Khan.
Chinni Jayanth, heaping praises on the actor RJ Balaji, said that fans in Villupuram enjoy watching the actor’s films. He added that Balaji’s every film is different and he is the South Indian industry’s Aamir Khan. In response to Chinni’s claims, Balaji said “I am happy for the love that the audience has been showering on the film but Aamir Khan is a legend and I shouldn’t be compared to him.” The actor added, “Isari Ganesh sir is like a father to me and there are a few more projects that I will be working on which have been produced under his banner.”
Speaking about the film’s business, RJ Balaji said, “The film was successful in its first week collections and I wish it continues to perform better in the second week as well.”
Meanwhile, the event also saw the makers of the film gifting a gold chain to the director Gokul crediting him for the success. Additionally, they have locked the director for another project. The director, at the same time, praised the lead actor for exploring himself well to play the role of a hairstylist in the film.
Meanwhile, RJ Balaji plays Kathir in Singapore Saloon who beats societal norms to move ahead with his passion for becoming a hairstylist. The Tamil comedy drama movie skilfully portrays the challenges and competition in his industry as he navigates life in the pursuit of success.
