Sara Ali Khan Hints at Dil Chahta Hai Remake? She Recreates Saif Ali Khan's Iconic Scene in New Video
Sara Ali Khan recreated her father, Saif Ali Khan's iconic scene from Dil Chahta Hai for a new campaign.

Sara Ali Khan seemingly hinted at a possible remake of Dil Chahta Hai with a new video. The actress, who is Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, was seen recreating his iconic scene from the film in a new video. For those who have seen Dil Chahta Hai would remember the scene in which Saif lands in trouble with his girlfriend for spending time with his friends. He is seen trying to convince his girlfriend but she doesn’t allow him to speak.

In a video shared by Farah Khan, Sara recreates the iconic scene. In the video, Sara is seen decked up as a bride and attending a call by ‘Sanjay’. Seemingly worked up by the call, it is unclear if the video is teasing a Dil Chahta Hai 2 or if it is for an ad. “Who is this Sanjay, and why has he got @saraalikhan95 so worked up? #KaunHaiSanjay,” Farah wrote in the caption. Meanwhile, Sara is preparing for the release of her upcoming film, Ae Watan Mere Watan. Earlier this week, the makers announced the release date along with a teaser. In the video, Sara Ali Khan is introduced as Usha. She is seen urging the nation to unite against British rule through a secret radio broadcast. In the voiceover, Sara Ali Khan can be heard saying, “Tayyar ho jayiye Angrezo se azadi ki akhiri ladai ke liye. Main hoon Usha aur yeh hai desh ka radio (Get ready for the final battle for freedom from the British. I am Usha and this is the country’s radio).”

This fictional tale is set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942. It is a story about the courage, patriotism, sacrifice and resourcefulness of the youth of the nation in India’s freedom struggle.
