Shah Rukh Khan Touches Mani Ratnam's Feet as He Wins Best Actor at IIFA 2024, Video Goes Viral

Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor Award at IIFA 2024. The award was presented to him by director Mani Ratnam and musician AR Rahman. In a video shared online, SRK was seen getting up on stage and greeting the filmmaker and the music composer.

Shah Rukh touched Ratnam’s feet and hugged him. He then turned towards Rahman and hugged him as well. The moment also served as a mini Dil Se reunion. The actor then turned towards the audience and expressed his gratitude towards IIFA and fans for giving him the award.

Shah Rukh won the award for Jawan. Others who were nominated in the category included Vikrant Massey for 12th Fail, Ranbir Kapoor for Animal, Ranveer Singh for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Vicky Kaushal for Sam Bahadur and Sunny Deol for Gadar 2.

Shah Rukh not only won the award at the ceremony but he was also hosting the awards show this year. The actor shared hosting duties with Vicky Kaushal. In videos shared online, the Dunki co-stars were seen having a ball. SRK and Vicky were seen dancing to several songs, including Oo Antava and Tauba Tauba. They were briefly also joined by Karan Johar. The trio danced to Pathaan’s title track, Jhoome Jo Pathaan.

IIFA 2024 took place in Abu Dhabi this year. While Shah Rukh was presented with the Best Actor, Rani Mukerji was awarded the Best Actress award for her role as a resilient mother in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal took home the award for Best Film while Vidhu Vinod Chopra was recognised as Best Director for 12th Fail. Animal also two other big awards of the night — Best Supporting Actor (Male), which was awarded to Anil Kapoor and Best Performance in a Negative Role, that was presented to Bobby Deol.
