R Balki and Amitabh Bachchan have earlier teamed up for two unique films- 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Pa'. Their third outing together on the big screen 'Shamitabh' also features Dhanush and debutant Akshara Haasan.
Based on the two characters belonging to the film industry, 'Shamitabh' has Dhanush playing a struggling actor who needs a voice to make it big and Amitabh Bachchan provides him with that voice. How they succeed together and how their egos clash makes for the rest of the film.
Balki and Big B have earlier provided some unique, interesting stories to the audience. Perhaps that's why the expectation from 'Shamitabh' is huge. Dhanush is hoping to repeat his 'Raanjhana' success one more time with this film.
