SJ Suryah Joins The Cast Of Chiyaan 62, Calls It ‘A Rocking Project’

Chiyaan Vikram’s 62nd film will be directed by Chithha maker SU Arun Kumar and has created a lot of buzz since its announcement. In the latest update, the makers shared that actor SJ Suryah has been officially added to the cast. The upcoming action thriller is one of the most anticipated films, with a stellar cast and music scored by GV Prakash Kumar. The makers of the film took to their official social media account to announce about SJ Suryah joining the team and set to star alongside Vikram.

“We are blessed to have a SJ Suryah joins the cast of Chiyaan’s #Chiyaan62 – we warmly welcome you to the energetic team sir," read the caption in the announcement post on the official page. SJ Suryah also replied to the announcement and expressed his excitement on being part of this project. Talking to his X handle, the actor wrote, “Verrry happy to join Chiyaan 62 “A Rocking Project" by Chithha fame SU Arun Kumar sir , very diff narration; I felt that God blessing one more great success when director Arun finished his great narration; & happy joining again with trendy G V Prakash sir." He also thanked the producers and other team members.

Like the actor, even the audience is quite excited to see both these talented stars together on screen. One fan said, “Wow…Awesome addition to the project. The announcement for Chiyaan 62 was made in October 2023. The announcement teaser for the upcoming film begins with footage from the Thiruvallur district’s Tiruttani police station. A woman is seen running into the station with her child, complaining that she was almost attacked but managed to escape. A street band can be seen at the police station after being held for interrogation. Following a couple of severely injured people breaking into the station, Vikram makes an explosive entrance and proceeds to beat them. The video then shows Vikram repairing his footwear and wandering casually before being halted by cops. He then gives a goosebump-inducing punch line before walking away.

Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. SJ Suryah, was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s latest film Jigarthanda DoubleX.
