As a fallout of MNS banning Pakistani artistes in India, distributors across the border are now refusing to release Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
According to reports, the IMGC Global Entertainment, a Pakistan-based distribution company which was supposed to release the film, has backed out. Its chairman is quoted as saying, "“Amid current tension between the two countries, we have decided not to release the film.”
The film's boycotting in Pakistan in what is seen as a direct consequence of the Raj Thackeray-led MNS calling for a ban on Pakistani artistes and asking them to leave India. MNS also announced that films starring Pakistani actors including Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Fawad Khan and Raees featuring Mahira Khan as the lead will not be allowed to release in India.
The biopic will hit the theatres in India on September 30.
