Tillotama Shome recently took to her social media to call out an airline after her flight to London from Mumbai got delayed by more than eight hours. The actor took to her X (formerly known as Twitter) and called out Air India for providing no information or assistance regarding the delay.
Taking to her X, Tillotama Shome revealed that her flight to London from Mumbai was delayed. She mentioned that Air India did not inform her or any other passengers about the delay. Talking about Air India’s service, she wrote, “AI 129. @airindia flight to Heathrow. Delayed as of now from 5.15 am to 10 am. No message, no calls from the airlines to notify passengers of the delay. Upon contacting AI, all they can say is sorry. Zero accountability and no solutions offered. India’s official airline.”

Shome also questioned why Air India did not inform its customers about the delay. She continued, “Why is @airindia not informing it’s passengers that their flight is delayed by 8.5 hours?” The actor talked about the plight of other passengers who were also waiting for the flight. She mentioned how there was a woman who had been waiting for five hours since 2 AM as she had to fly to London for treatment. She lashed out at the airline and mentioned that they had been waiting in the airport after their luggage was checked in. She continued, “@airindia @DGCAIndia AI 129 to Heathrow is delayed from 5.15 am to 1.30 pm. No information of delay was given. No calls, no। messages. No hotel provided to sleep. No alternative flight options. Our luggage is checked in. Is this LEGAL? How are we being compensated?”

On the work front, the actor was last seen in Raam Reddy’s The Fable. The movie was premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Also starring Manoj Bajpayee and Deepak Dobriyal, the movie will compete at the Meeting Point Official Selection Competition of the prestigious film festival.
