Kiara Advani joined a host of stars from both Bollywood and Hollywood in celebrating Priyanka Chopra as she marked her 42nd birthday on July 18. To honour the “absolute star” on her special day, Kiara shared a heartwarming post on her Instagram Stories, extending her birthday wishes to the global icon. Filled with warmth, admiration, and affection, the touching message is truly endearing.
Dropping a scintillating picture of Priyanka Chopra, Kiara Advani wrote, “Happy Birthday to this absolute star.” In the snapshot, Priyanka looked smoking hot in a black dazzling gown elevated with a silver neckpiece and statement sunglasses.
Previously, in an interaction with Filmfare, Kiara Advani revealed the inspiration behind choosing her new name, crediting Priyanka Chopra’s character in Anjaana Anjaani. The actress said, “My name has been Kiara since my debut in 2014. I didn’t want to confuse the audience with Alia Bhatt, an established superstar. It just felt like the right thing to do – to have your own identity. Why have two Alias? The name, Kiara, was inspired from Priyanka Chopra’s movie Anjana Anjani, where she introduces herself as, ‘Hi, I’m Kiara.’ I thought, ‘What a beautiful name. If I have a daughter, I’ll call her Kiara’. But before that I needed a name for myself. (Smiles) So, I took it on.”
Not only Kiara Advani but mom-to-be Masaba Gupta is also heavily inspired by Priyanka Chopra. But, for different reasons. Wishing Priyanka Chopra a happy birthday, Masaba posted a series of pictures on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Happy Birthday, Priyanka Chopra. I’m a proper fan girl and I’m hardly ever a fan girl. Forever seeking inspiration from you. Have an amazing year.”
Meanwhile, Nick Jonas also posted a sweet wish for his wife Priyanka Chopra. “The woman that you are. How lucky am I. Happy birthday my love (sic),” Nick wrote, sharing a series of pictures on Instagram.

Work-wise, Priyanka Chopra’s last project was the Russo Brothers’ Citadel. Next up for her is Heads Of State. Besides, she is also filming for The Bluff. Directed by Frank E Flower, it narrates the story of a former female pirate, striving to protect her family while struggling with her mysterious past. The film also stars Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Safia Oakley-Green and Vedanten Naidoo in key roles.
